What do you do when you see shredded pieces of paper on the floor? Will you pick them all up and attempt to put it together? Or will you glue them up patiently one piece at a time? Most probably we will sweep it off the floor and dump it all onto the bin right away. We see little worth of those shredded pieces of paper and we decide that it is time to discard it. For many of us, our dreams are written somewhere at some point in our lives. It can be stored up or hidden away in our hearts, or in our dairies or perhaps scribbled on pieces of paper, tucked somewhere which who knows where? But God knows. He is mindful of each dreams we have ever cherished in our heart. He has not forgotten about it, although we may have forgotten long past. Some of these dreams look just like those worthless shredded pieces of paper to us. We think it is a thing of the past. Why bother?
Who put dreams in our hearts? Who put the stars in the sky so we may look at it one starry night and fantasize the possibility of doing something bigger than we are? I believe God, the Giver of dreams, has put many precious dreams and aspirations in His children. These dreams are priceless. There is not a price tag you can possibly label it. They are etched and planted deeply in our soul and our genes when He created us. Given the right care and environment, these dreams grow with time and seasons. These dreams are allowed to blossom and expand beyond our wildest imagination and human strengths. We haven’t thought of it but God has it planned out. He has in mind for us to dream with Him. It is a place filled with miracles, impossibilities and spectacular wonders if only we step in…
This morning, I heard Him asking, “Will you dream again?”
He is the Restorer of your broken dreams. Many of us are wounded and bruised before seeing those dreams fulfilled. We couldn’t make sense of everything and we don’t think anything much can come out of those situations we are now facing. What can we do with these broken pieces of our lives? Is there still hope for us when we make mistakes? Is there a future ahead of us? I sensed the Father is saying – He will take up those useless, discarded pieces of your brokenness and your broken dreams where you have left off. He wants to put them together. There is not one thing He cannot do. He knows what to do with every shattered dreams you will bring to Him today.
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9) The Message version stated – “God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to Him.” God is on the search; on the lookout, just for YOU! He wants to strengthen you today. You are not forgotten nor forsaken. He is also looking at our hearts and calling out the faithful ones who have chosen not to compromise His given dreams for something else. It is like the sifting of flour when the impurities is exposed and thrown away, while only the good pure properties of the flour shall remain. There will be times when our heart motives is exposed through the test of time and difficulties to reveal what is truly of God’s and what is not. There are dreams that are soulish (self-gain, gratifications) and dreams that are birthed of the Spirit (Kingdom advancement). We have to let go of the soulish ones to receive the dreams that are heaven-imprinted.
Just this early morning, I saw an eagle flying swiftly up in the sky. It was flying at an amazing speed. This is pretty unusual for me. For the past months, I would spot the eagle flying and gliding gracefully over the sky with its outstretched huge wings. But not this time. It was going extremely fast when I saw it! Isaiah 40:31 (Amplified Bible) says that – “But those who wait for the Lord (who expect, look for, and hope in Him) shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to God) as eagles (mount up to the sun); they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” The power of God will invigorate your spirit as you draw closer to His Presence. He will raise you up and empower you to fly again! You are meant to fly; not to wallow in self-pity nor to stay bound in despair.
Dearly beloved, you carry God’s dreams. It has Kingdom’s purpose with Kingly anointing and fire! His dreams in you are priceless. Don’t let people put you down just because your dreams look different from others or somewhat small. Don’t discard the dreams He has planted in you long before you can see it. The Father is waiting for you to pick up those dreams He has given to you. I believe He is inviting us to dream again – Dream boldly and dream big. There are wings for it to fly where the wind of His Spirit shall carry you beyond your understanding and experience. So dare to imagine, dare to dream and dare to fly with the Master’s plan in your hand! There are no rejects in God’s Kingdom and family. You are wanted and you are made for His very purpose.
“Will you dream again?” Let His dreams become your dreams.
